Long Island South Shore Estuary Reserve - Dredged Materials Management

The NY DOS Division of Coastal Resources and the Long Island South Shore Estuary Reserve are working to formulate a long-term comprehensive approach to dredging projects and dredged materials management in the Long Island South Shore Estuary Reserve.  The goal is to provide a strategy that will ensure future navigability of the estuary’s waters for commercial and recreational vessel use, per the Comprehensive Management Plan recommendation 8-2 (April, 2001).
